Okinawa is without a doubt one of the most beautiful locations to create awesome photographic memories for the family. Whether that be a Senior Photoshoot, a Family Mini-Session of time is tight or something a little more unique and different. As a lifelong Ocean shooter it only stands to reason that the photographer offering unique shoots in Okinawa pull out all the stops and go that one step beyond. OkiTog is the only photographic option on the island with the hardware to create totally unique and professional standard split water photographs. Whether that's for an Ocean loving family of snorkelers, an aquatic model shoot or indeed a branding option. This is one shoot that sets the service apart. All manner of photoshoots are also offered beyond that. Below you will find the outlines for the more requested of our photoshoots for the private sector clientele.

Mini-Sessions

These are perfect when time is of the essence and a one hour shoot is just a little too drawn out. Perfect for senior photoshoots and impromptu sunset shoots. Seasonal blooms are also another event here in Okinawa which suits this format. From time to time we have focal blooms such as Cherry Blossom, aka 'Sakura', which Okinawa seems to go blooming crazy about. Beyond the Cherry Blossoms there are Cosmos and Sunflower blooms that also seem to grab the attention of most folks.

There are times when some of these blooms overlap each other so we offer a 'Two Bloom Special' for a rate of US$295 which is a saving of US$55 on the two mini-sessions. Simply request if that is an option at the time of your enquiring about shoots.

Other options for mini-sessions are impromptu sunsets which invariably take place at Toguchi Beach given it is very close to the base location of our principle photographer. For this photoshoot, clients should expect to receive between 8 and twelve fully edited and print optimized prints as well as a second version of the final imagery that is optimized for web and social media use. Split Water Photoshoots

One of the most unique shoots in Okinawa. The one thing that defines Okinawa as a place is the warm and inviting, not to mention incredibly picturesque, setting of the numerous protected beaches. Ideal for taking the younger ones and showing them the delights of the Okinawa marine world. In the Summer months with balmy water temperatures locations abound. From Cape Maeda to the shallows of Sunabe the reefs of southern Okinawa are teeming with life, enough to keep even the raciest of minds fascinated.

Looking to do something totally awesome, we're talking once in a lifetime deal. How about a trip to the Kerama Islands for a chance to snag a family photoshoot with some of the coolest of Ocean critters, Sea Turtles? This option would need to be planned in advance as it is a full day, and potentially overnight option. That doesn't mean it costs the Earth, it just needs certain parameters to be correct for booking.

This style of shooting also lends itself to fine-art imaging for models and brands. Corporate sector clients are requested to reach out for enquiries if interested. These shoots are one hour in duration for a private sector price starting at US$295. For this photoshoot, clients should expect to receive between 10 and 15 fully edited and print optimized prints as well as a second version optimized for web and social media use. Standard Family Photoshoots

Okinawa has a host of options available for those special moments for families and couples alike. For the adventurous there are numerous Jungle trails that lead to an incredible diversity of waterfalls or hidden swimming spots. For those looking to connect a little with the culture of the location there are numerous castle ruins of more traditional village settings. One of the most often requested though is the standard beach photoshoot, and for great reason. Okinawa is known for some of the greatest sunsets to be had in this corner of the world. At times the skies burn as if on fire with deep reds and oranges, a true sight to behold. To capture that and to have it as a focal memory from Okinawa goes without saying. A truly magical moment in an equally magical setting.

For these shoots the location is up to the client as some folks have beaches that may have some more profound meanings to them as a family. Depending on the location will also determine if any additional transport fees may be added.

....And now, for something totally unique!

The majesty of the Milky Way as it arches across the night skies of Okinawa has no rival in spectacle. This photoshoot was developed some six years ago and remains as one of the exclusive shoot options we offer. At this time we are unaware of any other photographer offering this shoot as a client option. That said, our limited spaces tend to sell out at least a year prior to the shoots. Working with a very short window due to the elements that need to fall into place to make this a successful shoot means, at times, reschedules are required and sometimes even refunds due to the running out of one commodity we simply cannot control, time.

I tend to keep August aside for rescheduling options so if you are interested in this potential shoot simply reach out and let us know you'd like to be added to the standby listing. We can then place you on the waiting list as some folks do need to cancel due to personal or professional reasons. Never say "Never".

After the Shoot

Once your shoot is complete you will be informed of the expected lead time until what is called a proofing gallery from your shoot will be ready. A proofing gallery is an online gallery hosted here on the OkiTog Website where the best images from your shoot, in web resolution, will be hosted. The proofing gallery allows you, the client, to select the imagery you would then like to retain as the master files, those ones which will be delivered to you as digital files via the DropBox Platform.

Depending on our editing schedule will depend as to whether the images you see in your proofing gallery will be edited or not at the time of your proofing. That information will be conveyed to you at the time of your proofing gallery notification. If we are experiencing a high number of bookings it could well be that the imagery is not edited at the time of your proofing.

Due to our respect for our our clients we opt to conceal all imagery behind two passwords that we create per shoot. The first password will allow the client to access the client area of our website and from there a second password is required to access specific proofing galleries. We do not share that login information with anyone but our clients may do so if they wish to convey that photoshoot adventure with close family or friends who may not be in Okinawa at the time of shooting.

Deliverables for the differing shoots vary depending on the activity and duration of the shoot. That said we do ask that folks please do bring their smiles. We have the camera, the weather and the stunning settings, all we need on top of that to make the day an amazing experience are the smiles and laughter of the clients.

Beyond the above mentioned shoots, which tend to be the most often requested there remains a plethora of imaging options available here in Okinawa. It all depends what you want to shoot, when, where and with whom. Our imaging prowess covers a massive scope, some of which require a different approach to providing an awesome service.
